Saitè: two seasons, from festive warmth to Mediterranean freshness.

Seasonal Still Life & Display Box Presentation

The Brief and the Display Strategy

The Saitè project began with a very specific commercial and communication need: product images for the brand's physical displays and digital channels, covering two opposite times of year that are both key for sales: the Christmas period and the summer season.

The main challenge was to showcase not only each individual product (glass jars, metal tins and decorated cups) but the overall experience of using them and, for the summer line, to make it clear that the products are designed and sold in elegant gift boxes ready for the shelf.

The Brand's Two Sides: Freshness and Tradition

To meet the client's requests, the set was split into two distinct stylistic worlds, each designed to speak directly to the consumer's emotions according to the season.

Summer Collection & Packaging

For the spring/summer line (represented by products such as the Ortigia range), we opted for bright tones, clean backgrounds and the deliberate placement of the open display box. This reveals the complete kit at a glance (majolica cup and jar) and brings out the lively, floral colours that evoke the freshness and lightness of the infusion.

Christmas Mood and Ambient Light

On the winter set the focus shifts to the domestic warmth of the holidays. The toughest lighting challenge was handling the huge difference in power between the studio flashes and the small decorative fairy lights. By fine-tuning the light to illuminate the scene without overpowering or "switching off" those tiny points of light, we made them the true protagonists of the atmosphere, wrapping the tins and the holly in an intimate, enveloping warmth.

Handling the Material: Taming the Fine Dust

One of the most demanding technical hurdles in this kind of still life comes from the very nature of the herbal teas and spices inside the glass jars: powder and fine dust inevitably rise and cling to the inner walls of the container, leaving countless tiny specks that can spoil the transparency and make the contents look cloudy and hard to read.

To overcome this, the shoot required meticulous attention to cleaning beforehand and careful handling of every single jar on set. The critical phase then continued in post-production, where detailed retouching removed every trace of dust, restoring crystal-clear glass and doing full justice to the colours and visual quality of the blend inside.
