The Project and Working with the Agency

When a project comes through a communications agency managing a brand such as Essesteel Jewels, the starting point is a tightly defined scope. The first duty is complete faithfulness to the brief: following the guidelines, highlighting the key materials of each collection and producing flawless colour images that precisely meet catalogue and market positioning needs.

But the added value of high-level photographic consultancy begins where the brief ends.

1. The Assignment: Faithfulness and Tradition

The first phase of the production focused on clean form and the elegance requested by the agency, with a clear split between the men's and women's worlds:

  • Men's Collection: Colour shots built on the pairing of strong steel and warm wood, highlighting details such as rings, bracelets and cufflinks worn with classic elegance.
  • Women's Collection: Warm, enveloping colour images devoted to the timeless combination of pearls and coral, conveying a refined, accessible luxury.

2. The Creative Detour: Beyond the Commission

Once the commercial requirements had been met, the studio's own creative research could begin: an unrequested space for visual experimentation, designed to test the boundaries of the brand's communication.

The Men's Vision

Leaving the neutral set behind, the men's collection moves into a cinematic, editorial dimension. A three-shot black-and-white story in collage form, set around a vintage car, turns the jewellery into an accessory of pure character and lifestyle.

The Women's Vision

For the women's collection we chose a bold, sensual register. An interlocking composition of two models with different skin tones, linked by an intimate gesture (one hand covering the other's eyes), in which the jewellery leads a modern, magnetic narrative.

Around the Table

These images were not created as an isolated stylistic exercise but as a concrete proposal brought to the agency and the client. The aim was to assess together whether an alternative vision, far from traditional conventions, could hold up and strengthen their future visual communication. It is an approach that turns the photographer from a simple supplier into a strategic partner in building the brand's identity.
